THE DEPARTMENT OF MISSOURI VFW CANCER PROGRAM
The Missouri VFW Cancer Program is designed to support VFW members diagnosed with cancer. The program offers a Cancer Care Insurance Plan that helps cover the high costs of treatment and recovery. This plan provides benefits up to a lifetime maximum of $300,000, which can be used to pay for various expenses related to cancer care. The plan is available to VFW members who have been diagnosed with cancer and is guaranteed acceptance as long as they have not had cancer in the last five years (or a shorter period in certain states). The benefits are paid directly to the member or anyone they choose, not to doctors, hospitals, or others. The plan also includes benefits for outpatient diagnostic procedures, hospital room and board, extended hospital expenses, outpatient drugs and medicine, and attending physician visits.
