Proudly Serving Our Veterans, Their Families, and Our Communities
Welcome to the official website for Veterans of Foreign Wars Missouri District 2, where honor, service, and camaraderie unite us. Our district is home to a dedicated network of VFW Posts, each committed to upholding the values of patriotism, advocacy, and support for those who have served our nation.
Together, the Posts of District 2 stand as a united front—providing vital resources, fostering fellowship, and ensuring that no veteran is ever forgotten. Whether you're a veteran, a family member, or a community supporter, we invite you to explore, connect, and join us in our mission.
From post meetings to district-wide initiatives, every member plays a vital role in strengthening our shared purpose. We salute the commitment of each Post in District 2—and together, we continue to serve with pride.
Commander Charles (Chuck) Sanders
Now that State Convention is behind us, it’s time to turn our full attention to the 2026–2027 year objectives. This is our moment to reset, refocus, and prepare for the year ahead. All of these goals, expectations, and operational priorities will be covered in detail during the School of Instruction (SOI) — but the work begins now.
Every one of our Posts has a story — a story built on service, sacrifice, and the unbreakable bond we share as veterans. But our story isn’t finished. Right now, across central Missouri, Posts are rebuilding, growing, and stepping up in ways that show exactly what the VFW stands for. And I want every Post in District 2 to feel that momentum and push it even further.
Retention isn’t paperwork — it’s people. It’s keeping our comrades connected, supported, and part of something bigger than themselves.
A phone call. A handshake. A "Hey, we miss you.”
Those small moments keep our Posts alive.
Let’s make sure no veteran slips through the cracks. District 2 is stronger when every Post fights for every member.
Some members lead. Some volunteer. Some show up quietly and help where they can.
All of them matter.
Encourage your members to take that next step — attend a meeting, help with an event, bring a new idea, or simply show up and be part of the team.
When your members feel valued, your Post grows. When your Post grows, District 2 grows.
If anyone is able to attend the National Convention, it is highly recommended.
This year’s convention will be held in Reno, Nevada, from July 25th to July 29th.

Attending National Convention is an incredible opportunity to learn, network, and bring back ideas that strengthen your Post and our entire District.
Our next District 2 meeting will be held on July 18th at Post 3176 in St. Robert for the School of Instruction (SOI).
This is where we sharpen our tools, strengthen our leadership, and prepare our Posts for the year ahead.
Every Post should be represented.
This is your chance to bring your officers, build your team, and set your Post up for success.
I want to thank every commander, quartermaster, officer, and volunteer across our District. You are the reason veterans in our communities have support, resources, and a place to belong.
Your work matters — more than you know.
Let’s keep pushing.
Let’s keep building.
Let’s keep showing Missouri what District 2 is capable of when we stand shoulder to shoulder.
District 2 is strong because you are strong.
And together, we’re only getting stronger.
In comradeship,
Charles "Chuck” Sanders
